I'm totally new to this. Someone gave me an RCA CC9360 digital video camcorder. I bought a firewire controller card for my Win98 computer, but when I connect the camera to the card nothing happens on my monitor other than the cursor changing from the "arrow" to the "hourglass" just for a couple of seconds, like it's interfacing, but then nothing else happens. Do I need some new software to use this camera? I've tried accessing it with my Windows Media Player and by using the already installed ATI video card software, but nothing works. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
first install the program that came with the camcorder. Install the drivers. Re-start. Connect camera, power on. This should start the install/detect plug and play procedure.
