I am now thinking about getting 2 shivas instead of 1 brahma, but i am unsure at the moment. What are the wiring options for 2 shivas since there are a 8ohm dvc sub? Also, which would sound the best with 500 watts pumping through them?
All depends on the amp. Shivas can either be wired as 4(parallel voice coils) or 16(series) ohm subs. For car audio applications your gonna want to wire them as 4 ohm, run em in parallel(2ohm) and find a 2 channel amp stable to 1 ohm(2 ohms bridged) or a monoblock stable to 2 ohms. You could also utilize a 2 ohm stable(4 ohm bridged) 4 channel amp.
