OnTheRoad Unregistered guest | Yikes, I get the point. I've got about $400 saved up and will have another $100 to spare on Friday. So about $500 total. I have a '93 Accord Wagon. What system can you suggest? BTW, I have no issues with leaving the seats down. |
OnTheRoad Unregistered guest | Anyone? |

OnTheRoad Unregistered guest | No, just amp, sub(s), & box. I listen to all kinds of music, but ocassionaly some rap and hard hitting stuff and when I play it, I want it to hit. I'm thinking a single 12 or 2 depending on price. |
Silver Member Username: SouthernrebelLouisiana USA Post Number: 174 Registered: Mar-04 | if you have $500 then i would recommend 2 shiva 12's...thats bout $250 and something like a JBL 600.1....bout $225 that doesnt leave much for a box, but you could either build one or just save a little more money. if you want tight responsive bass, go w/ sealed boxes....but vented is good too, not as responsive but more SPL....its just up to you. |
Silver Member Username: Blindc1rcaPost Number: 145 Registered: Aug-04 | i'd get 1 v-max 15 in a ported box with a kicker kx400.1 amp, thatd run you about 340 bucks shipped for the sub and the amp. |
OnTheRoad Unregistered guest | What about a single Shiva w/ a Kicker KX350.2 $125 for the sub shipped and $175 for the amp shipped. Then put the Shiva in a 1.5 to 1.75 cu ft sealed box as I've heard some suggest. That leaves me $200 to get the box built and get some new Infinity or Polk 6.5s. Or 2xV-max SVC 12s and the Kicker KX600.2 $440 shipped. Build the box myself Or 2xShivas & the Kicker KX600.1 $512. Build the box. What do you think. |
