I removed the standard tape/head unit already and i cant install the new head unit because i dont understand the wiring because i dont have a wiring diagram of my car. Can any of you tell me which cable go where?? oh and Should i buy a harness or just solder it??

you'll need the metra T-harness for the Honda for wiring the new stereo.
otherwise taking out the factory radio will disable keyless entry, power locks, etc.
any audio shop should sett this harness and a mounting kit for about $20 total.

yup
ask any car audio shop. they shouldn't cost ya much.
it allows you to wire the new radio right up and plug it in without cutting any wires in the car.
it also allows you to leave the factory radio connected, and stuffed behind the dash which is required for newer Hondas to keep things like keyless entry working.
that stuff apparently goes through the factory radio circuitry to keep it working for some dumb reason.

As fate would have it my 2000 civic si was broken into and the stock radio was stolen. In the process of removing the unit the S.O.B. cut the wiring harness....Now I've decided to install an after market radio (JVC KDLH-3100). Normally I would just buy an adapter and that would be the end of the story. But since I seem to have 14 wires just hanging there I was hoping someone could tell what wire goes to what....They also cut the Cig Lighter adapter. I can tell what wires went there because there's nothing left on the lighter assembly. Do any of the wires located in the pack of 14 (give or take one) go to the cig lighter....Thanks for your time.
