Bronze Member Username: SymplestilesStockton, CA Usa Post Number: 95 Registered: Aug-04 | well any system can be heard from down the block if you want pure SPL. it will sound like sh!t, and thats probably why people will turn their heads at you. but the comp vr's arent a bad sub. mediocre SQ/SPL. deffinetly not bottom of the line. there are better subs out there for the money tho, how much are you willing to spend? are you looking for 10s? 12s? |

The CompVR is a "good for the money" kind of sub, in it's price range it's good, but of course there is much better to be had. SPL is ok, SQ lacks. Alternatives are the Adire Audio Shiva (kills the comp VR in SPL and sounds a lot better, 125 shipped), the Cerwin Vega Vmax(also hits harder than a comp VR), Resonant Engineering RE subs(about the same, much cheaper, though, better SQ). Keep in mind that you're better off buying one really good sub than two lesser ones. |
