New 4 ohm DVC Alpine Type S subs

I just got the new Alpine Type S 4 ohm dvc subs that RMS 300 watts. I have a JBL BP600.1 amp. I read that it is "2 ohm optimized but can run a 1 ohm load with ease" which is what I would be running my subs down to. Should I maybe take them back and exchange them for the 2 Ohm DVC type S subs or will it be fine at 1 ohm?

1 ohm is more power, i think the 2 ohm would be safer with only 300 watt rms

if you want to be on the safe side, you should take those back and get the dvc 2 ohms. then you can wire it to 2 ohms. i don't know what the deal is with those jbl amps saying that they can handle those low loads of ohms, but i think 2 ohms would be safer.

The JBL BP600.1 and 1200.1 run stable at 1 ohm. However it is the same amount of power as at 2ohm. Will be much more efficient at 2ohms. If it were me I would take them back, but you won't be hurting anything if you don't.

either way it will work, but to be on the stable side take them back if you can.
