I have an Alpine Type R and an MTX Thunder 502 amp. The RMS on the sub is abotu 300 and the rms on the amp when its bridged is 500. But i was told that the type R can easily handle 500 RMS, but when i bridge the amp and open my trunk while music is playing the makes like a slapping noise like soemthin is soemthinng is smackign against the cone, but when i listen to it when im in my car you cant her it. Does this mean i'm over powering it, should i run it out of 1 channel at 250 rms?
