What is a decent amp for a 12W7? I know JL recommends the 500/1 or 1000/1, but I think the 1000 would be a little much. Also they are expensive and was looking for something a little cheaper, like not more than $300.

Also the w7 is a 3ohm speaker, and I see alot of amps that just have there ratings at 1ohm, 2ohm and 4ohm. Is there a way to make it be 3ohm? Im confused as to how that works.
the JL amps would be the best choice but if you wanted to spend less try a JBL 600.1 or the 1200.1. they are cheaper and very good for that price.

Is the Hifonics BX1500D any good,to power my 12w7? The w7 is 3ohms, so would this even work for it? specs... 500 watts x 1 at 4 Ohms 1000 watts x 1 at 2 Ohms 1500 watts x 1 at 1 Ohm 4/2/1 Ohm Stable
