anyway my friend has a L7 15 and it slams its a$$ off. I havent heard the jl 13 but it blows the 12 away. Before he got the L7 everyone was like "Oh man Jl W7 12 kick a$$" then BAM!, L7 slammed in.

Okay, not to mention we comparing JLs bottom of the line sub with Kicker's top of the line. The L7 will definatley hit harder. Compare apples to apples between JL and Kicker(as well as you can between square & round subs) and the JL is a better sub despite being over priced. But my advise is Round = Good.
to answer the original question yes the kicker L7s will kick the jL0's butt either one but kicker l7 and jl 13 will both hit upwards of 150 db in the right box with the right power
Big difference, the L7s will hit MUCH harder than W0s. W7s will hit harder than the equivalent L7, though. A 13W7 will hit harder than a 15L7, sorry to break it to ya Johnny, 12W7 will hit harder than a 12L7.
