hi i have a Kicker sub in my car, its fairly new and
it has a problem.
sometimes it works fully and sometimes it is weak
like say going around a corner it will kick in for a bit then drop back out.
it seems to be plugged into the amp fine aswell.
has any one had this problem or know how to fix this, thanks

i actually had this with an L5 that i bought, turns out the tinsel leads were broken and as i'd go around a turn, they'd hit together again causing the sub to hit, if you bought it localy your dealer should replace it for you, atleast mine did

My friend had a similary problem with the subs cutting in and out. He re-grounded the amp, and it was fine.

definetly the tensil leads, i've used kicker for ever and i know this prob, don't bother wasting your time looking for anything else, i've ruined 3 L5's tensil leads, they would hit when i was on a hill, lol. I only had to barely fix my one L7 tensil lead which works great..

i had the same problem with my ground coming partially out. i had replaced my amp like 3-4 times so the wire wasnt connecting right. i just re-cut the wire and plugged it back in, works like acharm now.
