The cab of my truck is too small to fit my twin Alpine 12" Type S's. In fact its too small to fit one of them. I was thinking about cutting the back of my cab out and welding a steel work box to the cab and bed. Another idea is putting the workbox in the bed and cutting tubes from the bed to my cab for the subs to point into. Any input would be helpful.
Also could i use a steel sealed workbox as a box for my subs, assuming it had enough cubic feet. Or would i have to make an MDF box inside?
you should be able to port a box from the bed into the cab, but i would really let a pro get a hold of that job. your going to be dealing with port length, and alot of other stuff. I dont know about steel but if they build a box for you they should be able to put a housing around it to protect it from leaking. In my head it sounds like it could be done but i havent seen it done lol
