probally cause your amp is only puttin out 600 watts of power and your subs are a 1000 watts. but it should still sound pretty good at that. so it probally has something to do with your cd deck or your system wasnt installed properly

how did you wire the amp? Or did you?
if you are running off of a single channel you are only getting 300 if you bridge you'll get 600., a bit much for that sub, so be careful with the vol.

if your giving the subwoofer 1.25 cubic ft. after displacements then your good there and as far as your amp you would be at 4 ohms each channel bridged with that amp so yes your getting all the power that amp has to offer i also assume your box is sealed.
