hey, i recently bought a car, and at the moment, im using the same setup i had in my truck, which is my two 10" subs sharing a 1.7 cubic feet sealed enclosure
would it make enough difference in the sound for me to sell the box I have now and build or buy two seperate vented enclosures with 2.0 cubic ft?
What kind of subs are they? The subs should get their own enclosure for SQ, sometimes you can squeeze a little more SPL out of subs by sharing the same enclosure, but I wouldn't recommend it. As far as going to ported, yes, you'll notice more SPL and better low frequency extension, it depends on the tuning freq. whether SQ will suffer a little or not.
