i have a DVC 4 ohm alpine type r and a SVC infinity kappa 4 ohm and can i wire this to a SONY XM-D1000P5 1600w MONO AMP? thanks

i wouldnt do that... the two subs are completly different, they will have to distort at different levels and you wont be able to set the amp. you never wanna run subs of different impedences on the same mono amp.
plus the sony amp wont put out any were close to 1600 watts.....it prolly wont even put out 800 rms. i dont know the rms on the alpine sub you have but if you already have the amp you may wanna sell the infinity and get another alpine sub....just like the one you have...that way you can wire any them to 4 or 1 omh (this is perfect for either an A/B amp to 4 ohms or a class-d that can take a 1 ohm load. which most do.)
