Gday all
I have a 1996 V6 Jackaroo (Trooper)station wagon and was thinking of building an encloser under the back seat to house a sub instead of having a box floating around in the back.
could any one tell me how much it will effect the SQ of bass when the back seat is dropped down over the sub, it only leaves about 3/4 of an inch all round the bottom of the seat for air to escape and the seat is made of steel.

Also would a 12" or 2 x 10" subs be my best bet, Im after SQ not SPL's

Thanks Guys Upload

Thanks anyway guys
This will be an expensive experiment if it doesn't work but I can always put the seat up when the kids are left at home

Looks like it will be 2 x 12" Shivas as they are only 5 1/8" deep
