i am planning on getting 2 shivas and i need info on the box to use. i have a pathfinder and i want good spl and sq. i was leaning more towards ported. please tell me what box sizes for sealed and ported and tell me what i would need to tune a ported box to for good sound and still being very loud. also tell me if i need a normal round or slot port and what the diameter of a round port would need to be i can figure out the length.

,thanx

speaker wire, 14-12ga is good
I'd say for 12" shivas, 2cu ft per sub, 4" ID ports, tuned to 30Hz.

that'll hit nice and low and loud.

SQ will be excellent with a 30 hz tune. Glass, just saw your site, that's a lot better I like it. I'm sure you'll be hard-pressed to part with the Sony 6x9 and 6 1/2" coaxial enclosure in the back of the Charger lol.

yeah 30Hz will hit deep.. it'll sound nice.. tight, low, not boomy.

god, I know.. that sony crap was in the car when I bought it.. lol
thankfully, that board in the back is covered plywood. its easy to pull it out.
the whole car is getting stripped down to the frame though so that'll all go in the swapmeet pile
