Help with kicker comp c10

ok a little about my setup first...

1 kicker comp c10 sub - 4 ohms - single voice coil
jensen 300 watt amp - stereo - bridge by using L+R-(i believe)

have L+ going to sub's positive(red)
have R- going to sub's negative(black)

problem-
for some reason when turned up all it does is "pop", higher the volume the more rapid the pop

at really low volume it kind of sounds like its suppose to- but its so low you literally cant hear it

the weird thing is, my 6x9's seems to do the same thing and they aren't connected to the amp in anyway - when unhook the subs they stop doing it

is this a wiring problem somewhere?

If your sub is popping turn the gains down. Not sure on the 6X9's

yea, that's what im saying though... i have to turn the gain down so much to stop the popping that you cant even hear the sub over the regular speakers

alright cool...i figured a 300 watt jensen( i know its not actually pushing 300 watts) would be enough for a single 10 with max 250 watts peak, 125 watts rms.. but i guess its about time i upgraded anyway..

any suggestions for a good amp for a kicker comp c10? (4ohm single voice coil)

thanks for the help everyone

jbl bp300.1
that'd give 150wRMS to one 4 ohm sub
150w each if ya add a second one
amp is cheap, too.. relatively speaking.

yeah jimmy dont be afraid to go with a little extra power like glass is suggesting we did the same thing with my cousin c12 kicker bumps well for 60 dollar speaker also make sure you give them air space for low extension and cleanness. Nothing wrong with extra power all youll get is cleaner power as a result.

thanks,
