Bass sound weaker after replacing the head unit

Hi, my car is 2011 Dodge grand caravan (4 stock speakers with no subwoofer, factory head unit) and I recently replaced the front door speakers with Infinity REF-9632ix. Although those speakers are known to have weak bass, they provided more powerful bass compared to the stock speakers and I am very pleased with those (I could test the difference easily as the rear speakers are still stock ones.)

Then I replaced the head unit with Sony WX-920BT. I noticed that the clarity of the sound improved dramatically on high volumes, but now the front speakers' bass got weaker. As far as I know, the only thing the new head unit does differently is providing better power, so I am wondering if losing power in bass is possible just by replacing the head unit. The front speakers now have weaker bass than the rear ones...

Any idea on how this could happen and how it can be fixed? I will appreciate any advice! Thanks.
