My '02 Accord has an aftermarket alarm system (Custom Auto Shield CAS 503 EX) and it has begun randomly sounding the horn with no rhyme or reason. I would like to permanently disable it but I am worried I might do more harm than good, especially if the system is connected to the engine immobilizer. I need some guidance before attempting anything. If anyone could help me out I sure would appreciate it. Thanks! Kenny Here are a couple of pics of the unit.
Update: I rolled the dice and disconnected all the plugs connected to the control box and fortunately the alarm system shut down and the car started and ran with no ill effects. Whew!! Thanks anyway to anyone who might have offered their input and expertise.
