BMW BM54 Code needed

I have a problem with my BM54 device, it's from a BMW X5 dated 2003. At the workshop they had to unplug the battery for long and now it asks for a 4-number code: The radiopass card shows my model which is BE 6526 2 6043975, and Safety-Nr appears in blank (----). I have checked a similar post where the user didi had the same problem as I have now and he was told to introduce the code 4308 but I understand that this code is for his serial number so I need another one. Anyone can tell me how to find it out? Thank you very much, Quique

I wonder if someone (because the car is a second hand car) changed it before. What should I do in this case? Are you completely sure that this is the right code? Thank you very much !
