I have a problem, when the car motor is off the amp works fine subs play great. But when I turn car on and is idling the amp goes into protect mode and subs stop playing. Is it the radio signal or the person who hooked it up did something wrong????? Thanks

make sure the amp's ground is connected close to the amplifier, to a solid, sanded bare metal chassis ground point.
make sure the +12V power line goes directly to the battery (through a fuse is good) and not to a wire at the fuse box
make sure the amp's REM wire is connected to the REM wire of the head unit.
make sure the gain (input sensitivity) on the amp isn't set too high. It should probably be turned all the way down (counter-clockwise) then turned up about 1/4 turn or so. Not all the way up (min. sens. or all the way clockwise)
If all of this is done correctly, then take your car to an Autozone, or Advance Auto or similar, and ask an employee to test your battery and alternator on your car "under load." It's possible the alternator may have a problem.
