I bought a 2001 Subaru Forester and it came with the Automate device installed on it. I didn't have any trouble out of it until a few weeks ago. As I was getting out of my car, it started on its own. I learned that I have an automatic start installed on my car. I haven't used my car all weekend and somehow my panic button was pressed (siren isn't hooked up, so my corner markers just flash--no sound) and it ran my battery dead. After messing with it for a few minutes I was able to get the alarm to turn off and my car started right up! How in the heck do I get this entire module off my car??? I found the module and the switch, but I want all of this crazy stuff to stop. I don't know if it was a factory install or stock. I would like to know that as well.
