Amp help

on my way home was listing to music. Subs were working and everything then just cut off. no crackle, pop or nothing to say anything blew. Rest of stereo kept working without interruption. Amp has power not in protect mode, fuses are all good and wiring is all good.

Amp is a infinity 611a took the back off and may have found one resistor/transistor possibly bad r125 pic below

running two MA Audio 10" Subwoofer 500W MA10QS

HU is pioneer deh-P3900mp

old stuff I know but it gets the job done at least used to

It's a resistor, hell blown, the knob next to it may be the input gain, at least you have a blown input stage on that amp. You don't see high currents on the input stage so something went very wrong.

the knob below is the the boost dial. How do you know what the resistor is there is probably a hundred on the board.

It's totally burnt so no real way to know, likely it will not be the only component faulty.

At the very least I would get schematics for that amp if you want to do something on it.

You need to have some background in electronics also.
