Bronze Member Username: SpankyPost Number: 14 Registered: Jul-04 | I have a pair of alpine type R's I have no started my set up yet because i have a few questions. the subs are 300 watts rms. my amp at 4 ohms can put out 550x2 max. will this be a problem if i run 550 into the subs each? will they shut down alot, blow, or be distorted in anyway since there 4 ohms subs? please i need feedback! |

They will probably be constantly receiving 225 watts to each sub...so they should be alright, Your amp can't push its Max amount constantly. As for your subs, if they are DVC 4ohm subs, you can run them at either 2 ohm or 8 ohms. Depending on how you wire them, parallel or series. |
