Subs sound quailty in old loud car.

hi

i am thinking about getting a system before i decied if its worth i juss wana noe if its worth putting system in old car with a loud exhaust i wont be pounding it most of the times keep it medium volume.

It's fine, but it depends on how much you want to spend to sound deaden. Old cars were made of steel all the way around, which resonates pretty bad, and they had poor sound deadening. Also, there's more potential for rattles. If you're willing to apply some sound deadening, you'll be ok, whatever form or fashion you choose. I drive older cars, I just like them better, but by the time I finish sound deadening them you'd swear you were driving in a Lexus. I've had systems in a 67 Mustang Fastback, a 65 Mustang, I installed a system in my cousin's 1969 Torino GT, and currently my project truck is an 83 Chevy C10 truck (for banging around in). After sound deadening, they're no different than a newer car.
