just got a IMAGE DYNAMICS ID MAX 12 V.3 D2, what will be a good amp to hook it up and what will be the wire setup considering it as a dual 2 ohm sub. tell me anything except jl audio1000/1 (too expensive!)
why don't you give us a budget. you have a single sub? a Kicker KX1200.1 would give the sub 1200 watts @ 1 ohm. costs about $425 new from eBay.

yeah i have a single sub and i am willing to spend something around $300-$400 on the amp. you said a kicker kx1200.1 thats like 1200rms, this sub goes up to 1000rms. if you say go with 1200rms and be low on gain then wouldnt JBL1200.1 be a better option ? also if you can suggest me a pre-fab enclosure for the best possible sound quality output.
