A freind of mine is in the hunt for a cheap system. Im talkin spending around 200 or 250 bucks. He only needs subs and an amp. He wants 2 sql 12's, and to run probably a mono amp at around 500 watts rms or higher. I don't really know much about this lower end stuff. I have 2 AA arsenals and a kicker 1200.1 amp, which i wired all myself, so i can help him out with all the technical stuff and build him a box. Any suggestions are much appreciated. I'd also like to keep away from the poor quality stuff, and get him something thats going to be reliable.

thanks in advance

AA assassins? If he has enough space, why not a single 15 or 18"?

really more like ~820 watts.

or

thats as cheep as i can think, still need wire and rca's and eather a LOC or an HU with RCA out. i have seen that Hifonics sub take some ok power in fry's and try and escape the shelf. i would still vote one type R that u can get for ~$99 in a nice ported box and spend the rest on an ok amp or a good used one.

The Fi X's are a killer deal IMO. Two of those in the right enclosure should do pretty well for a budget system.
