Inline Fuse rating 2 amps ??

Hi im just writing to find out what size fuse i should use in my car audio system
The two amps are
1 kenwood XR-4s 60amp built in
1 Kenwood XR-1s 60 amp built in
Now would i need a 120amp inline fuse or a 60amp im using 4 gauge wiring

2 amplifer in parellel cct (power), inline fuse size is = to sum of the 2, hence as GW stated 120 A.

thanks but i dont think they sell 120a maxi fuses

You can also use 2 wires with 60 amps on each one.

what he said, or just go to an ANL fuse instead. whichever is easier.
I typically put a fuse in the large power line off the battery rated for the current capacity of the wire itself (this is simply to prevent a car fire in case of a dead short if the insulation is compromised) then use a fused distribution block with a separate fuse for each amplifier, rated at the current draw, at the given load, for each amp on the dist. block.
