If you do get theses subs, make sure you get dual 4ohm. That way you can wire them down to 1ohm.

And this is the amp that you would need,or something that does around 2000wrms @1ohm.

just to add, I did not see the op mention specifically how many subs,

if its one sub get the dual 2 ohms, on the other hand if it's 2 subs then get the dual 4 ohms..as seanP suggested.

the amp is also dependent on number of subs...generally it should be higher than the rms of the sub or total rms of subs...

so if i was getting 2 subs and both of the subs are 1000 watt RMS each..the amp i would need would be 2000-2500 watt? and 4ohm right?

Good luck finding an amp to run 2k rms at 4 ohm. You'd be better off getting dual 4 ohm subs and running them in parallel to 1 ohm. 2k rms at 1 ohm will be much cheaper and easier to find. If you want a little bit better SQ, you could run two dual 2 ohm subs and run them in series to a final 2 ohm load. 2 ohm will be a little more efficient and sound a little "cleaner". 2k rms at 2 ohm will be more expensive as well, but not impossible to find. However, running this kind of power, you're going to need a strong alternator, definately after market, and even a nice additional battery in the trunk.
