I have never heard the audioque,but people swear by them. If you are going to use the Hifonics brand, go for the new Brz series. The build quality on the HiFi series are not as good. Just look at the price differences vs. watts between the HiFi series and Brz series.

AQ1200....all day long.

Same board as the old DD M1a, and I sold quite a few of those amps. (sick for the $)
True gain control 'bass knob' w/ clip light.

i was leaning towards the aq just wondering if the extra 300 watts would make a diffrence

you probably wont hear much audible difference between 1200 watts and 1500 watts.

on top of that, hifonics has been known for not doing rated power - so it is most likely less than a 300 watt difference

with the aq being under rated and the hifonics being over rated, you'll hear no difference. i don't like being bandwagon, but the aq's are fantastic for the money. i hope they keep their price point. and not pull a tc sounds to audiopulse or an all out price hike a la re audio.
