Hi, I just got a 2002 mercedes c230 and I'm going to install a new system pretty soon. My brother has been suggesting that I put in a 3-way component system as opposed to a 2, but I'm afraid that this will cause imaging issues because of the stock speaker arrangement. The tweeters are in the front corner of the door and the rest of the speakers are in the lower door. 6.5's are in the front of the door with 5.25's in the rear. I will be adding a subwoofer in the trunk as well. With the speakers set up like this, would I just be better off getting 2-way components and a set of 5.25's or would the 3-way components sound alright in this configuration?
