Excessive Amperage? Ohio Generator? Ive heard good things about these alts as well,but yea the $530 seems a bit much.

you would get a power clamp from home depot or your place of choice. there should be an option that tells you what the alt is putting out in DCV.

Talk about a cheaper way. LOL Those things are expensive. Luckily I have some connections to borrow something like that.
