if you want to be straight loud for the cheapest price and buy brand new stuff
get som audioque sdc2.5 12's you can get b-stock for 140 shipped each
thats 240, make the box 4.5 cu ft or around that area tuned 38-42 hz
and for an amp i would have to say sundown sae-1200d v2
if you go to db-r you can find them for cheap refurbished or something for like 175 total

do the big 3 in your car with 0 ga wire and run 0 ga to your amp and you have quite a system there

wire should cost around 100 or less depending on how much you need, and also depends if you build your own box. if you build your own box you can expect materials to cost 50-80 depending what you have already, a sheet of 3/4 mdf, screws, liquid nails or caulk, polyfill, carpet or paint. whatever you decide to do.
you can expect to be around $600 with a crazy loud system, if you can go bigger i say go with audioque sdc 15s instead, it will be a little more but still should be under $700
i can't think of anything that would be louder than that for the money unless you find great deals on used stuff

meant to say the subs would be 280 for 2 12s..
has anyone else heard those sdcs? or am i the only one? those are like DDs without the high cost, need to be tuned high, but if they are they sure do put out some bass

those or the sa line from sundown but i think cwruck has the best idea.

i would say grab a nice kit from knu, and take some string and measure out your big 3 then order the spare wire you need by the foot, find some ring terminals you like.
