Got a new condo so we need to add a little bass to it.

Sub - 15" Dayton Titanic MK III
Amp - Dayton SPA1000 (~950RMS @4ohm)

Now for the box...
I've only built a handful of HT boxes all of which were for friends/family. I would like to run this thing at 5.35cuft (after displacement) tuned to 20hz. Im getting a pretty good curve from that.

Should I downfire the sub and port towards the couch? Sub and port towards the couch? Sub and port downfire?... etc.

Also I don't know if I want to run a single 6" aero or 2 4" aeros. I already have the 4" aeros so it would be nice to use them, but it doesn't matter to me.

Also if anyone knows of a better amp for around $400-500 that will run ~1000rms at 4ohm let me know. Not so up to date on my HT amps.

Help a bother out, thanks.

Floor is wood, but I still don't know if ill DF it. I kinda wanna go sealed because 5+cuft in the middle of your living room is a little annoying. Oh well...

I run my 18" Q down firing and port to the front. Works well for me. Also remember placement and room acoustics will play a huge roll in performance. Since it's not going on carpet spikes are out and for my sub I installed it on wheels for ease of mobility. A 9 1/2 cu box with an 18" sub and 1000w plate amp make up a hefty package.
