but i am sure others have better options than that. i would just re-cut the holes for 6.5" drivers and get something nicer.

2.5 for a dcon? i believe the icon 12 calls for 2.5. The dcon is 300 rms or so so id be willing to bet it wont call for a 2.5 but i could be incorrect

1.75^3ft should fit any trunk besides a mustang (convertible).

the bad thing about dls, cdt, rainbow, image dynamics, is there are like no dealers in the us so you can't hear before you buy.
but i highly recommend not even worrying about 4x6s, your just wasting money and your going to end up putting off getting 6.5 comps in a decent amount of time. thats honestly what happens most of the time, if you want to do it right, do it right. no need to waste time and money with something thats going to suck.
not a fan of polk, just dont like their sound. and a huge fan of dls, would definitely check out dls. thats my number 1 choice by far

The best 4x6s in my opinion are the Infinity Kappas. They run @ 2ohms, and handle 55 watts RMS. I don't think I've heard a speaker that small handle the 75-150rms you're looking for, but if you're not amplifying them, keep in mind you're pushing 17-22 watts RMS from your deck. Since you don't get much bass out of a speaker this size in general, aim for something with bright vocals, and Infinity delivers in this aspect. Other recommendations would be Alpine Type S or Boston Acoustics. All three brands are excellent quality, and nice detailed highs. I like Infinitys the best though. Just stay away from those no name brands like Boss, Lanzar, Pyle, etc... whatever you do.
