Ok when i test my voltage in the front( this is with music playing really loud) it only drops to 13.2 but when i test it in the back near my amp it drops to 11.7 or so now is this a ground issue i have done the big 3? do i need to upgrade power wire im running 18 feet of 4 gauge . but doesnt matter if i go to 1 gauge the amp only excepts 4. so is it a ground ? cime in glasswolf
what you would typically do is run larger 1/0 gauge from battery to near the amp, then use a distribution block to drop to 4AWG between block and amp, with a short run between them of 2' or less. you'd also need to ground the amp with at least 4AWG additionally. Also check the gain on the amp to see that it's properly set.
