It's always a good idea to double baffle a 12" woofer (I always do) 10" your fine with a single usually.

I'd double it.
helps support the heavy drivers, and adds some stiffness to the enclosure to help reduce resonance and coloration.

can't hurt.

Not to mention a double baffle offers a recessed design possibility/option.

My thoughts exactly Paul. I think we both are big fans of the recessed look

Do you have to double it? Nope. But there's no reason to not do it. It won't hurt anything and it can only help.

I like the recessed look but it is a b*tch to get the sub in/out. Well without smashing your fingers. Id suggest double front but skip the recess for the sub.

Maybe Im just an idiot but any time I take my sub out I have to use a flat head to pry it up then slide my fingers under it and then remove it. Thats the easy part. When Im trying to put it back and line it up with the screw holes it is a pain. When Im trying to line it back up thats when it'll catch my fingers lol. Ive probably had to start 2 or 3 different holes just cuz I couldnt get it lined back up the right way. Plus my sub weighs roughly 40-45lbs. But its not like Im removing my sub from the enclosure everyday or anything,Im jus sayin.
