i bout a integra and it has an alpine alarm on in and its supposed to beep when u lock and unlock it but lately it hasnt been beeping. then randomly it will just beep sometimes. i checked the wire that goes to the megaphone under the hood and everything looks to be ok. any other suggestions?
the "chirp" feature on the "siren" can be enabled or disabled via a DIP switch in the alarm brain if I recall, depending on the alarm model. you'll need to contact Alpine USA to get a manual for that alarm system.
the chirping is an impact sensor warning, letting someone know the car has an alarm system when it gets bumped, usually.
