Hello. Can anyone help me please, I have a Ford Cougar with a Ford 6000cd player in it. Whilst i was driving yesterday the radio suddenly stopped and now i need to put in the code? The serial No. is MO86836 and it says on my paperwork that the code is 7904 but that doesnt work?

Code Entry as Follows: Switch Radio On - Display Shows CODE with " - - - - " flashing Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit If the correct code number is now shown Press preset " 5 " to Enter

I've been doing what u suggest, but as soon as i put in the correct numbers and then press 5 it goes straight onto a 'wait 30 minutes' reading. Do u have any suggestions what else i could do? Thanku again :-)
MO86836 if thats the right serial. then you may find it has been recoded. to a diffrent code. so you would need to go to your local car audio store and get then to plug it into a laptop to read and get the right code.
I took the player out and its a totally different one to what is on my paperwork. So it must have been changed at some point. The code is written on it..................unbelievable! lol
