My buddy recently crashed his car and he had a JVC Kameleon reciever, he doesn't know what model and he could only save the face plate, my question is can he replace the receiver without buying a new deck competely?

And sell the faceplate on ebay... If it was a high end unit he may be able to get good money for it

Why didn't he rip the rest of the unit out of the dash if his car was that jacked up?

I guess he tried ripping it out and he destroyed it, he's the type of person that buys expensive stuff than ruins it like a week later cuz he doesn't know how to treat it, so I told him to buy Sony everything so he could trash it all he wants and I'm trying to get his ID max so when I get my other one reconed I'll have 3 also he has a JL 1000/1 that I'm trying to get haha but I doubt he'll fall for the Sony deal lol

Nahh brah he'd be better off buying a new unit. Hell evan if the face plate was fu*ked hed be better off buying a new unit cause the faceplate itself cost almost as much as a new hu. Just buy a new one throw the old faceplate on ebay and get w/e u can 4 it. Peace
