Ok i had a box built to spec for my subs and my question here is, If i were to reverse mount them, would it affect anything since there is no longer space taken up from the subs? This is no SPL set-up, im just trying to make it look a little different from the everyday installs you see. Box is currently 3.5cu and tuned to 35 using aero ports, Not sure if that info was required but now ya have it. Thanks for any input.

Well did the original box specs take into account subs' displacement? Guessing so. Now you have a different internal volume that will affect tuning. You may need to add ballast to offset the subs' displacement to maintain tuning, or adjust the aero port lengths. Not extremely hard to do.

Sub displacement should be negligible w/ that box size and tuning. At most you will see 1hz lower tuning difference.

You will be fine flipping it, just make sure when you mount it that the surround doesn't touch the mount hole.
