no box for it yet but i hooked it up free air to my brothers surround sound system at very low volume to make sure that the coils were good.
yeah this is the old ssd with the double slug. the new one has the single

sure dont
im looking for something like a nine.1, aq 1200d, or bxi1606 to run at 2 ohms. im not building the box for it for about another month so im not in a hurry to get it right now.

i stepped on a scale holding these and the ssd doubles the weight of the sony. the sony was 11 lbs and the ssd was 22 lbs. it was just a normal home scale so it could be a bit off.

i ran the nine.1 at one point.. decent budget amp for sure. never had an issues

got some saz1500ds im trying to sell for 300 + shipping ea if your interested in that route

not a prob. the other choices you have will work.. just less power and not on the same level of build quality

not knocking them.. they work well for budget amps

a few people locally ran the aqs although they were short lived

that sounded bad lol.. what i mean by short lived is they used these for daily/comp but soon changed amps for more power and ability to run a lower ohm load
