I hooked up some subs 12" each at 1200 w to a 2ch 900w amp, everything seems fine, but the subs don't bump. They do, but very low, and if i crank radio, the speakers are louder than the actual subs. Might I add the subs are NOT in boxes yet they are just lying around, could that be the reason, would they bump loud if in a sealed box?

yes that is the reason, subs are not meant to run completely nekkid like that - once you get a box for them , you'll notice a huge difference

Yea get a box. So in the mean time don't play those subs without a box. You will blow them.

Quick question, I am making a custom box, I already have the WOOD frame for it, what should I put in it to seal the air in it? Some people told me styrofoam, and some ppl tell me just sealing the carpeting around it will do the trick, what should I do?

If your talking about sealing the box up you can use liquid nail or some good wood caulk.
