if i get this amp will it require me to get a new battery or a new alternator? I know it can push a consistant 1000watts anywhere from 11v-14.5v, so im just making sure i dont need anything else to make the amp work. thanks for your opinions.
closer to 1,400 watts on a scope to be honest. that amp is under-rated for it's output. anyway, try it. if your lights dim, or voltage rails sag then yes. you need a larger alternator. otherwise you're fine. a lot will depend on both the car, and your listening habits. remember it's only 1,000 watts continuous at peak output or full volume. every time you halve that volume from full, you cut power usage by a factor of ten.
