I have a 97 Nissan Altima that only has the rear speakers working at all times. During hot days, the front speakers work on occation. Is this a problem with the speakers themselves or the wiring? Thanks.

dude, that's weird. i have similar things happen to me but vice versa. when it gets too hot, my fronts drown out and sound like the tweets on the coaxles are shot. i think you should re-wire the rca's (if you have an amp) and the speaker wires. hope this helps. plus, wires won't run you that much money.

Two distinct possibilities:
1. Not enough juice coming off the alternator when the AC is on. Install a capacitor to smooth out the peaks and valleys of power.

2. Your amp is overheating and doesn't have overheat protection. You're basically sending short clips to the speakers (which can be bad). Make sure the temperature wherever your amp is remains below 100 degrees fahrenheit (ambient).
