New member Username: LeswartzySouth Bend, IN Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-10 | I just got a used BMW 318i sedan, and I believe the radio needs its anti-theft code to work. I'm not 100% certain, because in addition to not playing music, the display on the unit is out. I can tell the unit still works because it actually 'turns on' when I turn on the volume switch, and after pressing a number of buttons (regardless of which buttons pressed) I'm treated to a loud beep (I'm assuming this is the "you typed in the wrong code" warning). I'd at least like to try to get some sound out of it before I drop some money on another unit, as the condition of the current speakers will dictate how much I spend on a replacement head unit. Here's where it gets funky - on the radio itself, there are no manufacturer labels other than BMW, it looks like the model number is : KE-93zbm, and the only thing that looks like a serial number is : PPF0143436 If you need some other information before you can proceed, let me know. The other numbers on the labels just looked like technical information. Thanks in advance. |
