What's up guys, long time since I've been on here.
My neighbor has a 97 Accord and he was telling me over the weekend that his speakers are blown and his head unit sucks.
Basically, he doesn't want subs or anything, just replacement speakers and a new head unit for the his ipod.
It has 6.5's up front and 6x9s in back. I have comps in my car, but if i'm doing this for him, its not gonna be that extreme.
What are some decent, cheapish speakers that will be good without subs. For example, my diamond hex's wouldn't be sufficient basswise without subs. Also, you cannot talk me out of 6x9s, i just want basic dropins and theyre good enough for the application, he's not an audiophile or anything.
Also, i've been outta the game for long enough where i dont know about what brands of HU's are looking good. I know Pio's had the weak ground, but i hear that was fixed and i heard alpine's making some decent units now. Figure about 200 bucks for everything, ahha i know small budget, but sorry, it's not my money.
