Hifonics vs Boss Diablo

I have a Fusion 2000watt amp (PP-AM200010). I wanna get 4 Hifonics (HFi-12D4) 12" 600watt subwoofers. Or 2 Boss Diablo (D12F) 12" 1000watt subs. Would either of these be a good setup on that amp? How should i wire the subwoofers to the amp if i do the 4 HFIs? (this is how i have the subwoofers wired now: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z179/cormaster13/wired.jpg)

I have a 4 gauge power supply wired to the amp on an 80watt fuse at the terminal and 4 25watt fuses in the amp.

The 4 subs that are currently hooked up to the amp are wired to the amp with speaker-wire (not sure on the gauge but its a tiny bit thicker than basic speaker wire). What guage should i get for the new Hifonics or Boss subs?

100rms? that amp would blow those badly. i also have 2 10" 300rms and it blew them. i think if i went with either the 4 HFi's or the 2 Diablo's the amp would split the power up better. right?

here are the Boss Diablo's from the same website.

stay away from boss and those hifonics subs. What's your budget and what kind of sound are you going for? do you want loud or sound quality or both? Also how much space do you have to work with? what type of vehicle.

The amp you have is 1000 rms at 1 ohm. RMS is the power ratings you want to look at, not max.

also for your subs 12 gauge speaker wire will be fine.

i have 4 gauge speaker wire so it will be fine.

i have plenty of room, i'm working with an expedition. but i plan on moving the system to an eclipse one day so i should be wise about that.

i don't wanna really spend more than 150 on a sub because i need to get a cap too. i wanna get 2 12''s because i already have a nice box with 2 12" holes.

I doubt you could fit 4 gauge wire into a speaker terminal. You have 4 gauge power wire to your amplifier from your vehicle's battery.

$150 per sub? And you don't need a cap.

Pics of said box?

All those you listed = fail.

Help this dude out guys. This thread is packed with fail!

"i need to get a cap too"

No you dont.

"i wanna get 2 12''s because i already have a nice box with 2 12" holes."

Box should be built to subs specs.

BTW that amp is only rated @ 1000wrms @ 1ohm. Im not familiar with Fusion amps so I dont know if they do rated or are underrated or what.

I would get 2 of these

http://www.audioque.com/aq/SDC2_5_Series.htm

$139 each and build a new box for them tuned to 34-40hz and call it a day.

4 gauge speaker wire? WTF??!

you will be fine with 12gauge at MOST. even that is overkill with the amount of power talked about in this thread..

what do you want? and whats your budget for it?
