bout to start my 10th build for customers.. a pair of kicker cvr 12s in a box im thinking 4 cubes.. maybe tuned to 37hz? idk though cause i really dont know what frequency these kickers play best at?? input please?

35 hz is what the norm is i think...

thanks guys, but i found out they werent cvr's when i saw them. and hes not getting the subs now because i talked him out of it.

lemme guess. they were the comps (black with yellow stitching)?

I agree with rovin except for the tunings. The usuall want you to tune in the 45 hz for some of their subs.

know where in the car they are going to be placed. Take a look at this article. It really helped me understand how you are supposed to tune a port.

great article but useless in this thread. I highly doubt that the 2 cvr setup is going to be a pure spl setup. Not every setup utilizing a ported enclosure is doing so to get the best possible spl score. I didn't and I compete with my system. But my system is musical and not a 1 note wonder.

it will be louder on the meter tuned at 50hz
