So a month ago the protect light on my amp came on and wouldnt pump the sub.

I found out it wasnt my sub thats damaged,t he protect lgiht came on form something else.

Could it be an internal fault in the amp? if so what can i do to fix this?

i would call the company and ask them about it.
they should be able to give you their 2 cents and maybe if your amp is warrantied, you could sent it back and have it replaced. MAAYBE!

More than likely the amp is fried.

First, Unwire the sub wires from it, Does the light go out?

Next, check the ground wire from it.

If the light stays on with no sub wired to it, and the ground/power/rem are all good and its not 200 degrees, then it is the amp.

What amp model number and sub models are you running? It may not be a compatible match.
Like if the amp is only 2 ohm stabe and your running it at 1 ohm. Also, make sure you have adaquate votage to supply the amp.

A Digital multi meter can halp alot with pinpointing your issues.
